An Instructional Systems Design Approach:

Target Audience:

Students who have some experience browsing the web and desire to design web pages. Some may have experience designing pages with wysiwyg editors.

Goals: Students will be enthusiastic to:

  • cultivate professional standards of web design;
  • adapt to the diversity imposed by the competing browsers and personal monitor settings of viewers;
  • evaluate html editing tools;
  • design interesting pages with html

Objectives: Students will:

  • discuss readings and do mastery quizes;
  • compare pages designed with FrontPage, PageMill, Dreamweaver and straight html;
  • duplicate assigned "pages" that use various styles, formats, images, lists and links by doing them in html;
  • design a personal page using html
