Keep your content and structure in mind at every step, and don't get distracted by presentation alone. It is all too easy to get so excited about using an animated gif, an audio file, multimedia, a JavaScript trick or some other technique you have mastered, that the content or structure of the site gets lost. For each clever element you consider adding, ask yourself: how does this enhance the page? Organize your site so that there is content on every page that makes it worth visiting. One example: do you really need a "contact" page that only tells people how to contact you? Or can you have a contact link at the bottom of each page? If you have a separate page, is there enough information on it that visitors will not mind the extra click to detour there? Keep your "keywords" in mind for page titles, headers, text and image "alt" tags as you design. This is important so that you can attract search engines when your site is finished. It is also important to keep reviewing "keywords" for each page to make sure you are focused on your content. Consider this summary, for example. Continue to "Notes about To Do Lists "
