Have you browsed the web and want to design your own web pages? This class will help you master skills and cultivate professional standards in web design so that your pages can reach a wide audience, regardless of what browser or operating system your audience uses. Hyper-Text Mark-Up Language (html) is the basic language of web authors, the simple fiber spinning the web. In this class students will use html to write web pages. We will also consider:
Students will participate in on-line and classroom discussions, get help through a ListServ, submit weekly assignments demonstrating mastery of html, and produce a personal web project using html. Instructor: Diane Wang with *email at dwang@think-ink.net When Diane teaches this class at a college, she sets up a ListServ for the students. You can ignore any references to the ListServ if you are simply using this site as a reference. The ListServ is a forum where students can get help with coursework from classmates. Any email you send to the ListServ goes to the entire class. All messages should be courteous and respectful of the classmates so that we can make this a collaborative resource.
*technical problem: If you use a web-based email program (such as yahoo, netscape or hotmail), the links on this page for the instructor and ListServ email addresses will not work to open a "mailto" message. Instead, you need to copy the address into your message. |
